A car ramp I built out of low cost stud work timber 2.5" x 1.5" I purchased at Wickes, I exaggerate slightly about the cost of the alternatives in the video :) . This is a cheap and quick DIY build requiring a saw and a screwdriver (power tools preferred). This wooden ramp will raise your car enough to give you room to work. Note if you build one of these it's at your own risk. Take all the usual precautions if you are lifting a car. If you are risking going underneath the car be extremely careful!
