This video shows a few simple steps in removing the seal from the bottom of a canister style flush valve.

After removing the seal it can easily be replaced. I purchased a Universal 3" Valve Seal Kit by Korky. It came with two different seals and for this application I used the larger of the two.

You can purchase the Korky seals at Lowe's, Home Depot, and I think Ace Hardware would have them as well.
