Three dimensional shapes are easy to find wherever we go. Let's look at some examples.

A ball looks like a sphere. A globe looks like a sphere too.

Some common objects that look like a cube are dice and a box.

Pyramids still exist today. You can see them in places like Mexico, Egypt, and Central and South America.

Some common objects that look like a cylinder are a garbage can and a candle. Notice how they both have the shape of a cylinder.

Some common cone shapes are a party hat and a traffic cone.

Some common objects that look like a triangular prism are a tent and the roof of a house.

Some common objects in the shape of a rectangular prism are a refrigerator, a juice box, and a cereal box.

Some common items that look like a hexagonal prism are a pencil an allen wrench, and a nut.
