This channel chronicles my journey to become a better cook. Along the way I meet some amazing chefs and pitmasters and their families, friends, coworkers and communities. Not only do these amazing people take us into their kitchens (or pit houses) and teach me the techniques that made them famous but they welcome you and me into their homes and communities and give us a perspective on the world that most of us couldn't otherwise see.
One of my heroes as a chef, a guide, a personality and as a human was Anthony Bourdain. I sincerely hope that as you watch my videos you see them as an homage of sorts to him. I would never compare myself or my show to him or his, but I definitely draw inspiration there and I hope that shows.
