In 2021, almost onequarter of the population were a landed immigrant or permanent resident in Canada. Canada ranks among the highest in international measurements of government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom, education levels, gender equality, public services, public security and environmental sustainability. Canada has once again received top marks for Human Freedom Index, placing 13th out of 165 countries evaluated by Fraser Institute.
