The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob called the people of Israel back to the land of their inheritance. Emerging in the midst of the regathered nation of Israel is a remnant of believers in Yeshua, the Messiah. Kehilat HaCarmel is a community of Messianic believers located on Mt. Carmel in the city of Haifa.
Centuries ago, on this mountain, Elijah confronted Baal’s false prophets and God moved in a miraculous way, sending fire upon the altar as recounted in 1 Kings 18. The people of Israel were transformed by that event. Today, the vision of Kehilat HaCarmel is to rebuild the Lord’s altar on Carmel’s strategic heights and to pray for the fire of His presence to again return to the Land of Israel.
