Mia Rodriguez creates quirky darkpop that spans the divide between alternative indie and melodic mainstream styles. Based in Sydney, Australia, she is inspired by a blend of all genres of music including K Pop, mainstream pop, and hiphop, yet the newcomer has arrived at a style that is her own led by a distinct vocal style. She started posting videos on TikTok growing her audience to over 2million fans in just over one year. Covers on YouTube got the attention of fans who liked Rodriguez’s distinct approach to music. Working with producer Dave Hammer (Lime Cordiale, Thundamentals, Jeffe) she has begun to release tracks which reflect her unique dark humour and personal style. In late 2019 Mia caught the attention of the teams at Chugg Music and City Pop Records who signed Mia for management and recordings respectively.
