The Alaska National Guard (AKNG) continues to set the standard in meeting federal, state and community missions. Since September 11th, we have mobilized and deployed more Soldiers and Airmen than at any time since World War II. Our Soldiers have answered the call to serve our nation in the Global War on Terrorism and to support Alaska's citizens during civil support and disaster relief operations. These great men and women have earned a well deserved reputation for excellence.
It is my great pleasure to present to you, the citizens of Alaska, the best trained and motivated group of Alaskans ready to serve, assist and protect you at any time.
