Welcome, I'm Elaine. My tutorials focus on proportions, angles, shading, and other sketching basics. I am entirely selftaught because "break it down into shapes" makes no sense to my brain. What DOES make sense to me is having a full understanding of what I'm looking at before I begin sketching.
Nothing fancy happens here; we use scrap paper and any pens we have. Why? Just like an author must know the alphabet before they can write, we need to know the fundamentals so we're properly equipped to create the art we want in the way we want, whatever that may be. Confidence in the basics means we can focus on the magic!
