On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
If the son of Adam dies, his work comes to an end except for three: ongoing charity, or useful knowledge,
Or a righteous son who prays for him, narrated by Muslim

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا
اگر ابن آدم فوت ہو جائے تو اس کا کام ختم ہو جاتا ہے سوائے تین کے: جاری صدقہ، یا مفید علم،
یا ایک صالح بیٹا جو اس کے لیے دعا کرے، اسے مسلم نے روایت کیا ہے۔
