Dr Tanisha Jowsey teaches you about medicine, research & culture. Her research has investigated patient and clinician experiences in a variety of clinical settings, including operating theatres, medical wards, and general practices. She was born in Aotearoa New Zealand and the Waimakariri river eases her worries. Tanisha is Associate Professor of Medical Education and Professionalism at Bond University. Tanisha gained her doctorate in public health and medical anthropology at the Australian National University, specialising in intersections between patient experiences of time and chronic illness. Tanisha is currently involved in several projects exploring interfacing cultures within operating rooms. Thanks for watching!
