I live on Vancouver Island and can't sit still. I love being outdoors exploring backcountry trails, camping in quiet places, fishing in rivers and lakes, and travelling to foreign countries. A journalist since 2003, my early years were spent covering court and crime for various newspapers in Western Canada including the Regina LeaderPost and the Edmonton Sun. I now specialize in freelance travel writing and photography, with stories appearing in several newspapers and magazines including Outpost Magazine, the Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun, Our Canada, BC Outdoors and Sidetracked Magazine.
