Anchorage Airport is by far the best airport for plane spotters in the world with a keen eye for old, classic planes. Geographically advantaged, freight airlines use Anchorage as a fuel stop for routes between Asia and North America that the aircrafts aren't able to fly directly to when fully loaded, such as Hong Kong New York.

This video features a morning rush with runway 15 in operation, meaning from the famous photography spots along the north/south runway, you'll be seeing more landings than takeoffs.
