Anchorage Airport is by far the best airport for plane spotters in the world with a keen eye for old, classic planes. Geographically advantaged, freight airlines use Anchorage as a fuel stop for routes between Asia and North America that the aircrafts aren't able to fly directly to when fully loaded, such as Hong Kong New York.

This video focuses on the morning rush on a wet and drizzly summers day. Despite the less than ideal weather, the diversity of planes well and truely makes up for it!

I filmed this video between 6am and 2pm from beside runway 15 where there's a dirt mound that can be stood on for elevation over the fence to get a clear shot. The goal of this video is to show the diversity of airlines and aircraft that fly into ANC on a typical day for those are haven't been able to travel to this wonderful place yet, or just like to watch planes landing and taking off!
