1 Year Review: RXL SL Integrated Carbon Handlebar

Follow
Duncan Miller

My impression on the RXL SL carbon handlebars I showcased last year when I mounted them on my Cervelo S2 last year. 1 year in I have done a full outdoor season and a moderate indoor trainer season, so I have some follow up thoughts to answer questions I received on my previous videos.

Pros:
These are some of the lightest carbon integrated handlebars on the market, read on.
They look good but definitely have some aesthetic inconsistencies from the factory, but good for the price point.

Cons:
Some structural concerns around the internal brake cable run where the headset and stem meet on the underside
Shifter mounting is difficult without measurement markings and an inconsistent grip material that is not great.

Conclusion:

Overall a great budget set of handlebars for the casual or lighter rider who doesn’t put a lot of weight on the front end of the bike.

If you are a heavier rider or looking for a bar to race with, I would recommend looking for a pricier bar from a reputable industry brand.
