Right from the getgo the A380 has been an impressive aircraft and never failed to attract a crowd and turn a few heads. Love it or hate it, there's no denying that the sheer size of this plane is seriously impressive.

Emirates' A380s are a common sight at Melbourne, operating 3 services a day. Just recently our 3rd flight was upgraded from the B777 to the A380, making Melbourne an "A380only base for Emirates" On top of regular appearances, many of their special liveried ones come in often which spices things up!

These flights all take place early in the morning and in the evening which is perfect for photography since the lighting is always favorable and the heat distortion is less intense.
