When things get a little overwhelming for me, I like to get on my mat and do a gentle fullbody stretch like this sequence. It helps me work all of my emotions out through my body, releasing any tension, anxiety, frustration, or pain. There is something so healing and symbolic of each of the yoga postures in this yoga class. We begin in child's pose, a pose of reverence and surrender. Then we stretch the spine and neck with some dynamic stretches in cat/cow pose.

I love this yoga sequence because it doesn't take that long to feel grounded and centered. It's like a moving meditation with deep breathing and I come to this flow when I need to find a little inner peace. I hope that you find an emotional release in this yoga class with me.
