Just a short drive from Tampa, St. Petersburg or Clearwater, beautiful Honeymoon Island State Park Florida located in Dunedin offers white sandy beaches, stunning sunsets and a bird watchers paradise. Swimming, fishing, shelling, hiking and bicycling are all popular activities to do on the island. We have spent a lot of time on Honeymoon Island and enjoy sitting on the beach, riding our bikes along the paved trails, and hiking in the hiking trails. You can walk the entire beach to the north end of the island as long as the water is out, depending on the time of day. One of our favorite things to do is pack a lunch and sit on the beach, listen to a podcast or music and just relax. :) Sometimes we just take a nap!!
