The first carb I received was the "FULIN" brand. I was pleased with it and ordered another. The next carburetor I received, from the same link listed above, was branded "Tillotson" and had a larger venturi. I've ordered more since and have been receiving carbs branded "Tillotson". Keep in mind these are Tillotson "clone" carburetors and NOT genuine Tillys. It's my belief that they are likely using genuine Tillotson block stacks on the cloned carb body. Get these while you can, if nothing else they're well worth the price even if used just for replacement parts.

**The carb bore on intake side measures 1.002 (one inch and two thousandths) on BOTH carbs. Not 1.200, for some reason I mumbled "two hundred" when I measured the carb on the right but I actually meant "two thousandths". Brain in gear before putting mouth in motion! Sorry for the error, I'll try to do better on the next one.**


This is a brief video featuring 2 Tillotson Clone Carburetors. I will choose one to run on the Ducar 212 Hemi engine build. You'll see this carburetor in Part 3 of the Ducar 212 Hemi build which is coming out soon. These are chainsaw replacement carburetors but the performance gain of installing one on a 212 DUCAR or 212 Predator is definitely worth a look!

Since I don't talk much about these carburetors in the Part 3 Ducar 212 Hemi engine build video as this is just an experiment to check out the quality and performance of these Tillotson copy carbs. I thought some watching may also be interested in a budget price performance upgrade carburetor to experiment with too.

Are they worth the price? I think so. How much do they cost? Well, that may change, but I paid less than $15 each for these carbs including the tax and shipping. I don't know what the current price will be when you see this video but I'll put the link where I ordered mine if anybody wants to check them out. I will likely be buying a few more of these for other projects as the Tillotson style diaphragm pump carburetors are among my favorite carburetors. Out of the 2 carburetors I ordered I was completely floored by one of them, one has "Tillotson" and "Made in Ireland" raised in the casting. Fingers crossed my next order receives another "Made in Ireland" Tillotson. (UPDATE 72822 I have received 2 more carbs with "Tillotson" markings I'll have an update video soon) I won't complain if it's another "FULIN" brand as I need a couple of the smaller bore Tillotson carburetors for the LCT 179cc engine builds we'll be doing soon.

***The throttle bore on the intake side measure one inch and two thousandths on BOTH carburetors (1.002) The carb venturi is smaller than the butterfly bore but there is a noticeable venturi size difference between the two carburetors, the one marked "Made in Ireland" is much larger. I was unable to get an exact measurement of the venturi. Though it's a good deal larger than that of a stock 212 carburetor even at a glance.

There will definitely be more videos made on these Tillotson clone carburetors. I would like to add a 2nd pump stack and see if I can get one of these gas carbs to run on methanol fuel. Maybe a 3rd pump stack triple pumper experiment? Oh boy....the Predator Ghost 212 is in for some trouble against this Ducar 212 Hemi engine build for sure.
