Today, I use the Ford 8N with back blade to plow the long driveway. This back blade is NOT able to be offset, and I explain the problems with plowing snow this way. It can work but it is not nearly as easy as a plow on the front of a tractor. There are several drawbacks you're turning around constantly (hurts your neck!), the front wheels get pulled/pushed into the snow banks, the rear of the tractor slides around due to the plow angle, the driveway gets more and more narrow, you pull snow up under the tractor while you're plowing, you're driving through unplowed territory always, running backwards (pushing instead of pulling) is hard on the 3point arms and doesn't give you very good traction/power. #Ford8N
