한국의 저출산 문제는 어떡하지...

한국에서 아기가 태어나는 일이 점점 줄어들고 있어요. 예전에는 많은 아기들이 태어났지만, 이제는 아기를 낳는 엄마, 아빠가 많이 줄어들었어요. 그래서 어린아이들이 점점 적어지고 있어요.

왜 그럴까요?

엄마, 아빠가 아기를 키우는 데 돈이 많이 들고, 집값도 비싸고, 일을 하느라 바빠서 시간이 없기 때문이에요. 또, 엄마들이 일과 집안일을 모두 해야 해서 힘들다고 느끼는 경우도 많아요.

이런 문제를 해결하려고, 한국 정부는 아기 키우는 가족에게 돈을 더 주고, 엄마, 아빠가 함께 육아를 할 수 있도록 도와주는 여러 가지 방법을 생각하고 있어요. 하지만 아직도 아기를 낳고 키우는 게 쉽지 않아서, 아기들이 많이 태어나지 않고 있어요.

이렇게 아기가 줄어들면, 나중에 어른이 많아지고 아이가 적어져서 나라가 좀 어려워질 수 있대요. 그래서 모두가 함께 고민하고 해결책을 찾으려고 노력하고 있어요.

In Korea, fewer and fewer babies are being born. In the past, lots of babies were born, but now fewer moms and dads are having babies, so there are not as many little children as there used to be.

Why is that?

It’s because it costs a lot of money to raise a baby, houses are expensive, and parents are very busy working. Also, many moms feel tired because they have to take care of both their jobs and their homes.

To fix this problem, the Korean government is trying to help families by giving them more money and making it easier for both moms and dads to take care of their babies together. But even with this help, it’s still hard for many people to have babies, so not many are being born.
