Belsize reached out to gift me their kids bike for my son who is growing and moving through bike sizes pretty quick. I was not super impressed by the overall build when I saw the price tag of $375 for this bike. However, it is one of the lightest kids bikes you can find in 16 inch wheels. It weighs right at 13 pounds which is 2.5 pounds lighter than my sons 14 inch bike from ParkCycles.

My biggest complaint on the Belsize is probably just how firm the brakes are to pull. The other complaint I have is that the seat is fixed in that position. It's not a bad position, but if I wanted to slide it back or forward or tilt it to help my kids position on the bike I cannot do that. Really though, there isn't anything wrong with the Belsize bike...

It is nice with it being belt driven because it creates almost a maintenance free bike. The belt wont rust and shouldn't lose tension because it's a very strong and hefty belt.
