முன்னிக் கடலைச் சுருக்கி யெழுந்துடையாள்
    என்னத் திகழ்ந்தெம்மை ஆளுடையாள் இட்டிடையின்
மின்னிப் பொலிந்தெம் பிராட்டி திருவடிமேற்
    பொன்னஞ் சிலம்பிற் சிலம்பித் திருப்புருவம்
என்னச் சிலைகுலவி நந்தம்மை ஆளுடையாள்
    தன்னிற் பிரிவிலா எங்கோமான் அன்பர்க்கு
முன்னி அவள்நமக்கு முன்சுரக்கும் இன்னருளே
    என்னப் பொழியாய் மழையேலோர் எம்பாவாய் 



மேகமே! முதலில் இந்தக் கடல் நீரை உட்கொண்டு, மேல் எழுந்து எம்மையுடையாளாகிய அம்மையினது திருமேனி போல நீலநிறத்தோடு விளங்கி எம்மை அடிமையாக உடையவளது சிற்றிடை போல மின்னி விளங்கி, எம்பிராட்டி திருவடிமேல் அணிந்த பொன்னினால் செய்யப்பட்ட சிலம்பு போல ஒலித்து, அவளது திருப்புருவம் போல் வானவில் விட்டு, நம்மை அடிமையாக உடையாளாகிய அவ்வம்மையினின்றும் பிரிதல் இல்லாத, எங்கள் தலைவனாகிய இறைவனது, அடியார்களுக்கும், பெண்களாகிய நமக்கும், அவள் திருவுளம் கொண்டு முந்திச் சுரக்கின்ற இனிய அருளே போன்று பொழிவாயாக.

Scooping the waters of the sea in season due,
in time, you seem deep blue scud of the merciful nimbus
likening the mien of Uma who is possessor all;
you flash strikingly like the slim waist of Our Lady;
you rumble,roll and resound like the gold anklets on Her holy Feet; and draw
the spectrum of bow arched like Her brows darting eyes of passion;
and like Her, Our MotherFather, His Hers, Will granting grace
on servitors and we maidens, may you pour profusely, you see!
