I’m starting out on the John Muir Trail!! I’m going SOBO (southbound) and doing it solo. In Part One of my JMT series, you’ll see me struggling while backpacking. Happy Isles was full of smoke, but Cathedral Lake was pretty once it stopped thundering! Backpacking the John Muir Trail was a challenge, but I wanted to show you the reality of the JMT in 2022!
