"So been very happy with the school and CFI so far new school new helicopter but then this happens

I've just started have 10 hrs just getting my groove then a student in front of me just got his ppl passed check ride all went well he had asked mos ago about renting once he got his ppl they said they would have it worked out by the time he got his ppl well they didn't he gets his ppl and asks about renting and the new manager decides they aren't going to rent to anyone even former students due to cost of insurance !

So new student gets ppl and finds out he cant rent a helo All i can say is WTF?

So puts me in the position why finish or support this school if i put time and money into getting my ppl then cant rent a helo of course someday everyone wants to buy a helo but few if any do that initially or even eventually

Why would anyone get a ppl if they cant rent locally how do u even keep your currency?

What do most schools do?

So i could drive 20 min down the road and train for bout the same money but haven't checked there program out yet

Got any wisdom or advice ? would like to stay at this school if they can get there shit straight but rapidly losing faith in them

Can / should i get my own renters insurance ? Would this help?
