THE NATIONAL MUSIC MUSEUM PRESENTS | 1901 Mason & Hamlin Model CC Grand Piano | Dedication Recital

One of the most exciting new acquisitions to the NMM's permanent collections, this Mason & Hamlin Model CC grand piano represents a time period of innovation and leadership in the American piano industry. Generously underwritten with purchase funds gift of Dr. Gary and Connie Grittner, 2023, with restoration work and ongoing maintenance graciously supported by the NMM Board of Trustees, this phenomenal instrument will serve as the primary performance piano for our Janet Lucille Wanzek Performance Hall.

This recital was performed in cooperation with the University of South Dakota College of Fine Arts, the National Music Museum, the USD Department of Music, Department of Theater, and many community partners and other local supporters, to officially dedicate the Mason & Hamlin and thank those who made its presence at the NMM possible.
