1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible

I was recently watching some videos of the cars of Cuba. After the USA shut the Door in 1962 there were no longer any imports of American built cars. Because of the countries poor financial health no new cars ave been imported. The Cubans being inventive and perhaps the worlds best mechanics and Fabricators have managed to maintain a fleet of American cars running, for over 50 years. I heard someone say there are as many as 100,000 American cars many running others not and many under restoration. The engines and transmissions that originally came with the cars are well passed their overhaul days. So what do the Cubans put in for power? just about anything, from Hyundai truck and car diesels to stationary soviet era diesel generators converted to road use. My cousin mentioned to me his dream car is a 1953 Chevrolet Belair convertible. This one is a bit over the top!
