In 1962, the MLB AllStar Game consisted of two separate games, as was the format for that year. The first game, known as the "First AllStar Game," was played on July 10, 1962, at D.C. Stadium in Washington, D.C. The stadium was the home of the Washington Senators (now the Texas Rangers). This game featured the best players from the American League and National League competing against each other.

The second game, called the "Second AllStar Game," took place on July 30, 1962, at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. Wrigley Field was the iconic home stadium of the Chicago Cubs. Similar to the first game, it showcased the top players from both leagues.
