That's right, this is the real deal! This here is an incredibly nice example of a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible, complete with a massive bigblock 396 V8, a horseshoe shifter, and a stunningly eyecatching paintjob. What isn't there to love? In 1968, the Chevrolet Chevelle received an allnew sculpted body with enhanced, flowing bodylines with tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. The Super Sport option (of which this car is an example) became an option all of its own, and 2,200 SS convertibles were produced in the '68 model year. Powered by a bigblock 396 C.I. V8 breathing through a 4barrel carburetor, let's just say that this SS Chevelle can get out of its own way pretty quickly. Power from that big 396 is transferred to the 12bolt "PosiTraction" rear axle through a 3speed automatic transmission shifted by a characteristic "Horseshoe" shifter, a hallmark of Chevelles from this era! The "Teal Blue" metallic paint is absolutely beautiful, having been lovingly buffed out to gleam in the sun. The black interior vinyl trim is in excellent shape, paired with bucket seats that are very comfortable and the added convenience of a center console. An updated AM/FM radio with a vintage look sits in the dashboard, ready to crank out your favorite tunes. Options fitted to this wonderful '68 Chevrolet include power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, a heater + defroster, factory gauges, vent windows, seatbelts, ac convertible top, a vintagestyle AM/FM radio, and a meansounding Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The car rides on a classy set of vintage Chevrolet rally wheels over B.F. Goodrich RWL tires for a periodcorrect muscle car appearance. This is an incredibly nice SS Chevelle that you don't see too many of, especially in this condition. Rest assured, this '68 Chevelle makes for a wonderful cruiser and is sure to turn heads anywhere you go.
