Gora, a potter and an ardent devotee of Lord Vithal ( Krishna) , accidentally kills his son (Nandlal). He vows to never touch his wife (Ganga) again after she desecrates an image of the lord, but agrees to marry her sister(Jamuna) . However, instead ends up taking a vow of celibacy after chopping off his hands.
