1979 Dodge B100 Shorty Van Vintage MoPar Survivor! Obsolete Automotive Car Reviews

Obsolete Automotive

Walkaround "Car Show" of my 1979 Dodge B100 "shorty" cargo van.

Purchased out of California... This Dodge van was driven home from Northern California to North Carolina on a trip that started on Christmas Day 2022. A planned train trip from Charlotte, North Carolina to Seattle, Washington to drive a '62 Plymouth home ended up with us being stranded in Chicago when the trains to Seattle were cancelled. Plans changed when there was no way to get to Seattle not even in a rental car. So, a rental car was secured to drive from Chicago to Williams, CA to see my van for the first time and then drive it close to 3000 miles back home to NC.

This short video showcases this van and the various details and features of it. It's a nice original unmolested van which is hard to find these days. 1979 marked the second year the sliding side door was available for the short wheelbase vans and the first year for the new longer frontend sheet metal.
