This is the 9/26/1981 Oklahoma vs USC game. Neither school quite lived up to their billing in 1981 but make no mistake about it. This was as hyped up a matchup as college football had to offer. Oklahoma was coming off of two consecutive Big Eight Championships and two straight Orange Bowl wins. USC had the leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy in TB Marcus Allen. This 1 vs 2 Matchup drew a ton of hype and most likely the largest TV audience of the year. Allen lived up to his billing in 81 and won the Heisman and this game was worthy of 1 vs 2. Just didn't pan out the rest of the year. I claim no rights.
