Today we look at 1st May 1982 during the Falklands War. At 0746Z Vulcan bomber Black Buck 1 raid landed a string of 1000lbs bombs across Port Stanley runway. 14 minutes later twenty Sea Harrier FRS.1 jets from 800 & 801 naval air squadrons took off from HMS Invincible and Hermes carriers to lay cluster and conventional bombs on the runway at Port Stanley and Goose Green.
