This is the solution that I discovered to a chronic misfire problem I was having with my 1995 Toyota Corolla. This particular car is a late production 1995 model and so it does not have the four pulse pick up inside the distributor, it uses a hall effect crankshaft position sensor instead. However all of these cars in this year model range use the same ignition coil and distributor cap arrangement in are subject to the same issue.
