This brandnew, fully furnished, twobedroom container home is located in the heart of the beautiful Pacific coastal town of Uvita and known for its beautiful beaches, cascading waterfalls and whale watching. The house is built using two 40foot refrigerated shipping containers. The containers are place parallel to each other and set a part to saddle a central courtyard space. The courtyard is covered with an additional roof to create a sheltered entrance porch and passive outdoor living space. The gap in between the shipping containers is closed off using conventional materials to enclose the courtyard. The containers sit on a steel pier foundation to elevate the modules away from moisture. In addition, the elevated position of the foundation creates an ideal height to construct an outdoor deck.
