Took the opportunity this afternoon to do some pattern work before the line of weather moved through The good thing about a poor TAF forecast is it usually means the pattern is empty and I have the local area all to myself. There is something therapautic about mindlessly doing touch & Go's until you get low on gas. When it warm out 99% of my approaches and basically power off 180ºs. In the winter I avoid this because of shock cooling but in the summer it's my preferred way to go. It's a lot of fun to challenge yourself to spot land on the numbers every time. Anyway, this is what a typical 20 minute outing in the Cub looks like if I have nothing to do and nowhere to go.
