4729 Dumbledore's Office from LEGO Harry Potter was released in 2002 to coincide with the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the last movie featuring actor Richard Harris, who passed away nine days before release.

LEGO's Dumbledore's Office is set on three levels, starting with the Griffin Stairwell which is locked shut and can be opened to reveal the spiral staircase as shown in the movie. Beyond the LEGO griffin, we find some magical LEGO artifacts before climbing the stairs to the Headmaster's Tower and Dumbledore's Office found high in rooftops of Hogwarts.

Originally retailing for $50 in 2002, this classic LEGO Harry Potter set is worth (in 2021) around $75 used or $250 boxed.

4729 Dumbledore's Office from LEGO Harry Potter is a tall set and stands almost 15 inches high. The top section is modular and can be removed and combined in different ways with other LEGO Harry Potter sets released in 2001 and 2002.

Within Dumbledore's Office, we find magical items including The Sorting Hat which Harry engages with in the movie and one of Dumbledore's magical instruments: some kind of astrological apparatus which comes with an exclusive transpurple printed dish element covered in moons, stars and other magical icons.

4729 Dumbledore's Office is one of the best LEGO Harry Potter sets from the 2001 and 2002 wave and wellworth adding to your LEGO Harry Potter collection. Details are thoughtfully recreated and secrets such as the hidden compartment under Dumbledore's desk and hidden keys add an extra dimension to a vintage set.
