Celebrating its 73rd year, the Voice of Democracy program's 201920 theme asked students to reflect on "What Makes America Great." Firstplace winner Shruthi Kumar, sponsored by VFW Post 1581 and its Auxiliary in Omaha, Neb., received an allexpensepaid trip to Washington, D.C., where she was presented with the T.C. Selman Memorial Scholarship award in the amount of $30,000. Great job Shruthi!
