This video was taken at the 2022 BMW Mfest in South Africa. BMW Mfest is the largest M festival in the world (According to sources from BMW).
As for the vehicle, it is the new BMW X1 18i SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), BMW does not call it an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle). According to BMW as per Bramanmotorbmw article "By replacing the word “utility” with the word “active” in the SAV name, BMW placed a specific emphasis on how its SAVs perfectly complements an active, onthego luxury lifestyle." I am sure this is just a way to differentiate themselves but it does not change much from the SUV meaning.

It has a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, good for 115kw/230nm of torque.

I remember looking for the Fgen 20i/d X1 demo with decent spec in 2019 at around R570 R600K! That does not even get close to the starting price of the 18i in this new generation. Are we getting poorer by the day or are cars just getting more expensive? I keep asking myself.

Anyway, fully specced, this car got to R1 001 545,40. I can only wonder how much 20i and 20d will cost fully specced!
