Gonzalo left Subway in 2012 to start his career at Century Asphalt, where he impressed his colleagues and superiors early on with his eagerness to learn and ability to perform tests efficiently and accurately. It was clear that he was destined to be a topnotch technician.

Gonzalo has now been working for Texas Materials for over 10 years and has spent ample time learning HMA plant operations and maintenance. He has accelerated his learning curve and has become quite proficient with SMA and SuperPave mixes while working with the Laredo district, where he is a goto resource for others in the district and has been praised for his dedication to quality.

He always goes above and beyond for Texas Materials, TxDOT, and the industry as a whole.
