This is the 2024 Release of BLI's Paragon 4 with Rolling Thunder Southern Pacific GS4 in the American Freedom Train colors
In February 1976 the American Freedom Train Southern Pacific #4449 brought the American Freedom Train to San Antonio , Texas where it was pulled to Fort Worth Texas pulled by Texas & Pacific #610 which had been restored to pull the AFT on it's Texas part of the tour. Mary Ann, David Murphy and I went to see it while it was at the GSA in Ft Worth. This was the moment that I became interested in trains. Fort Worth was one of a few locations where 4449 and 610 were displayed side by side.

While #610 pulled the AFT through Texas #4449 was shopped for minor repairs, a boiler wash and other work to prepare her for the rest of her tour.

This year the United States of America is 248 years old and The American Freedom Train returns to the Texas & Pacific to celebrate Americas 248th birthday!
When #610 returned the AFT from Display in Dallas, #4449 took over and headed to Wichita Falls.
