The new 2024 KTM 500 EXCF is not so great. It features a stiffer frame than the previous years model, similar to a motorcross bike, making for a rough ride and poor performance during offroad riding. You feel every rock and root. Softening up the suspension will not solve the issue. The second problem is the location of where the fuel pump enters the tank. It used to enter at the very bottom, but is now located a bit higher up on the 2024s. This means you'll be running on fumes sooner than you expected, with ample gas left in the tank. If you are considering upgrading to a 2024 model, perhaps think about keeping your 2023 and improving upon what is already a better bike.
