Today we are looking at the new Tesla Model S. The exterior is bold with fully LED headlights and taillights and the $4,500 21” wheels. The interior is incredibly minimalist and extremely high tech. The yoke steering is on today’s tester, and every Tesla Model S comes with perforated vegan leather with heating and ventilating. This is one of the only Teslas to have a gauge cluster, and materials are great. Build quality could be better, but it is definitely better than the Model 3. Storage is plentiful in the Model S because this is an EV. The center screen controls everything, and it is one of the biggest at 17”. This center display is incredibly responsive and you can access navigation, play video games, entertain yourself with a movie, and so much more. Sentry mode records everything when the car is parked and it also records on the road like a built in dashcam. You can also customize the horn sound and control the climate. Even with all of this, the Model S still doesn’t offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the second row, you have a lot of space and amenities. There is a center screen to entertain the rear passengers and play video games while on the road. You can also control the climate and heat the seats. If you fold down the center seat, you’ll find a little bit of storage and two cup holders. Incredibly, you also get two wireless phone chargers making the total four in the whole car! In the cargo area, you have plenty of space thanks to the hatchback style gate, and there is an amazing amount of underfloor storage. If that isn’t enough, you have three cubic feet of space in the frunk, or the front trunk. Because this is an EV, you have a lot of power. The standard Model S has a dual motor setup making 670 horsepower and 723 pound feet of torque. Expect 060 in 3.1 seconds. If that isn’t enough, the Model S Plaid has a trimotor setup making 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 pound feet of torque. You can get up to 402 miles of range depending on the setup and the wheel options. Thanks for watching!
