Cruising the coast of British Columbia 2024 aboard “Natasha”. This is Part 3 of 7, starting with the attempt to sail north from Ucluelet towards the goal of ultimately reaching the Bunsby Islands and Brookes Peninsula. The prevailing (and continuing) unseasonably cold and wet weather made me go to “Plan B”, head back to Sidney and sail north along the inside of Vancouver Island to Desolation Sound. I sailed in Barkley Sound for a few days, awaiting favorable tides and currents in Juan de Fuca Strait before heading south.
