趙氏於2024年當選英國皇家歷史學會副院士Associate Fellow2018年獲中國經濟思想史優秀一等著作獎曾任教於美國Bryant University 、北京理工大學珠海學院、深圳大學、香港樹仁大學、臺灣中央研究院近史所歷任客座教授、副教授、助理教授、高級訪問學者現任國立中山大學臺港研究中心研究員兼任。

In 2024, Dr. Gavin S.H Chiu was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society (FRAS) and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. In 2018, he received the FirstClass Award for Outstanding Works in the History of Chinese Economic Thought. Dr. Zhao has previously taught at Bryant University in the USA, Beijing Institute of Technology Zhuhai College, Shenzhen University, Hong Kong Shue Yan University, and the Institute of Modern History at Academia Sinica in Taiwan. He has held positions as Visiting Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Senior Visiting Scholar. Currently, he serves as a Research Fellow (parttime) at the Centre for Hong Kong and Macau Studies at National Sun Yatsen University.
