The Cadillac CT5V Blackwing is the final iteration of an internal combustion powered VSeries sedan, closing out several generations with this epic supercharged V8. It is one of the few remaining options on the market that still offer a manual transmission, which by itself is a hugely appealing aspect.

For the 2025 model year, the entire CT5 lineup has received a midcycle refresh. This update includes a new front fascia with revised headlights, an upgraded 33” curved infotainment screen and various software updates, including a fairly extensive PDR (Performance Data Recorder) improvement. Powertrainwise the lineup stays the same, which means the CT5V still comes with a twin turbo V6 and 10 speed auto, while the top tier Blackwing has the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8, making 668 horsepower and 659 lbft of torque.

I have wanted to buy one of these since I first drove the Blackwing generation, and with this final refresh, it will be one of our last opportunities to have this kind of combination!
