Chery’s latest flagship SUV, the Omoda C9, has received approval for sale in Australia. This model boasts a luxurious interior and two rows of seating, although the launch date has yet to be confirmed. Both feature a 183kW turbocharged 2.0liter fourcylinder engine paired with an eightspeed dualclutch automatic transmission. The SUV measures 4774mm in length, 1932mm in width, and 1686mm in height, with a 2800mm wheelbase, and it weighs between 1790kg and 1865kg, riding on 20inch alloy wheels.

In its home market, the C9 comes with highend features such as dual 12.3inch screens, Nappa leather seats that are heated, ventilated, and massaging, LED headlights with adaptive highbeam, a panoramic sunroof, and an augmented reality headup display. It also includes a Sony sound system with either eight or 14 speakers, depending on the variant.
