서울패션위크는 2015년에 처음 시작되었습니다.
그 전에는 서울패션위크보다는 패션쇼와 전시회 형태로 패션 이벤트가 개최되어 왔습니다.
하지만 2015년에 한국의 대표적인 패션 산업 기반 조성을 위해 패션 위크의 개최가 결정되었습니다.
처음에는 "서울패션위크 2015 S/S"라는 이름으로 시작하였으며, 이후로는 "서울패션위크"로 통합되어 매 시즌마다 열리고 있습니다. 서울 패션 위크는 그동안 한국 패션의 시장성과 글로벌 패션 산업의 발전을 위한 차원에서 계속적으로 발전해오고 있습니다.
서울 패션 위크는 한국에서 개최되는 대표적인 패션 이벤트 중 하나입니다.
이 이벤트는 한국 패션 산업을 발전시키고 국제적으로 인지도를 높이는데 목적을 두고 있습니다.
