The revised MK7.5 Jetta and Jetta GLI demonstrate that Volkswagen hasn't quit on the compact car segment. In fact, it's really good and valuepacked but it's unlikely that it'll move up from its #5 seller position. However, if you're in the market for a compact car, do yourself a favour and try one out as a drive will make all the difference.
