Asteroid Apophis is about 340 meters in diameter and will be the largest object to pass so close to Earth in observed history. NASA plans to send a special probe to study the asteroid up close as it passes us by. This will provide invaluable data on the structure and composition of the asteroid, which may help in the future to develop strategies to repel potentially dangerous space objects.

The construction of the smart megacity in Saudi Arabia known as "The Line" is facing major problems. The original plan was for the city to be 170 km long, 500 m high and 200 m wide, and accommodate 9 million people, completed by 2030. However, after six years of work, only 2.4 km have been completed, which will accommodate less than 300,000 people. Some companies are already laying off workers, meaning construction likely won't continue, or at least not on the original scale. According to Bloomberg, the project suffers from a lack of funding, with the required amount being $1 trillion. In addition, there are not enough people who want to buy homes in the new city. In other words, the Arabs have slightly overestimated their options with this megaproject, and some agencies even suggest that it may be abandoned altogether.
